ISA launches the magnificient 63M
This latest gem of a yacht built by ISA, 63 meters long with a beam of 12 meters, has been launched at the presence of the owners’, visibly moved, their family, a large company of their friends, the interior and exterior designers, some of Ancona main authorities and ISA’s top management, employees, workers and friends. After the speeches and the Owners’ unexpected thanking and greeting, the ceremony traditionally continued with the breaking of the bottle and the slide to the water.
The 63-meter Moon stone hull and Stark white superstructure stroke all the guests, the two-colored boat is a masterpiece of elegance and style, both on the exterior and on the interiors. This beautiful displacement motor yacht is a masterpiece of technology, design and Italian craftsmanship. She boasts sleek and aggressive lines with an impressively long sloping stern, designs by Andrea Vallicelli in close collaboration with ISA’s architects. The exterior design clearly shows how Vallicelli and ISA took into consideration the Owners’ wish to have easy access to the sea and the chance to live and enjoy the yacht open air. The shape of the superstructure is characterized by the volume of the extended deck heads and balconies, providing shade, over the wheelhouse and aft on the upper and main decks. The general arrangement of this yacht is based on some primary choices such as making very wide main deck side passages and the use of continuous main saloon window which finishes aft in a large sliding door that integrates these interior and exterior spaces. The sundeck is divided into several areas: forward there is a large pool and sunbathing area, under the space frame roll bar and mast with structural sunshade is a bar area, whilst further aft is the panoramic seating area with large comfortable sofas. Another particular element of this yacht is the beach area. Designed with precise aim of allowing the owners and guests to enjoy the vicinity to the sea, the beach area is made up of the aft swim area and adjoining garage which, when the large doors are opened and the two tenders launched, provides a wide open space that can be reached by a comfortable stairway from the aft main deck.
The interior, designed by Patrick Knowles Designs. reflects the ultimate in contemporary relaxation with tropical influences. The Owner’s wish to feel as if they are on holiday each and every time they cruise on this magnificent vessel is accomplished by the use of natural material one would associate with the tropics, such as coconut shell and palm wood accent panels strategically placed throughout the vessel, in addition to bamboo bordered floors, textured woven overhead materials and hand painted murals depicting in great detail tropical rainforests and exotic flora. Although her interior would be considered tropical by definition, her joinery design is sleek and clean and her furnishings contemporary.
With her two Caterpillar engines, ISA 63 meter reaches about 15 knots cruising speed and 17 knots max speed. The yacht will be completed, the sea trials carried out and then finally delivered to her owner for her first Summer cruise a little ahead of schedule.
