ISA Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, leader in the construction and sale of superyachts, announces the start of welding operations for the construction of the new project 80-metre ISA CONTINENTAL.
The decision of Palumbo Superyachts to start the construction ‘on spec’, that is self-financed, of hull and superstructure of a model of this size is part of the new Group strategic plan of investments where reducing delivery lead-times represents an increasingly critical aspect in the buyers’ decision-making process, in particular for the construction of megayachts over 70-80 metres.
In this way, interior fitting and customization activities can begin in the last quarter of 2021 with feasible completion and delivery slated for 2023.
The ISA brand has always been synonym for excellence and quality and the 34 superyachts, between 30 and 66 metres delivered from 2002 to date, actually prove it.
Palumbo Superyachts can rely on a network of 5 shipyards scattered through the Mediterranean (Ancona, Savona, Naples, Marseille and Malta) capable of providing Owners with professional services ranging from design to construction, and following with ‘after-sale’ support and assistance for any maintenance/refit job.
Palumbo Superyachts is currently building 7 superyachts from 26 to 67 meters at the Ancona shipyard, whereas amounts to a hefty 150 the number of boats from 24 to 100 meters that relied on the Group’s maintenance and refit services during the last 12 months.
The CONTINENTAL range by ISA Yachts is designed by Arch. Enrico Gobbi from Team for Design and comes in two versions of 80 and 65 metres.
Project ISA CONTINENTAL 80 is a very architectural steel and aluminium yacht with well balanced volumes and ‘streamlined’ lines. Its exterior design is highlighted by squared and rigorous windows for incredibly panoramic views from all the main indoor areas.
A distinctive detail is given by the terraces in the central section of the boat; in particular, the one on the Upper Deck looks like a real balcony and lets more light flood the salon.
Other strategic areas are just as brightly lit, like the gym in the Sky-lounge and the salons on the Upper and Main Deck. Another emblematic feature of this yacht is the stern infinity pool. Its rectangular shape spans the beam of the deck and stands out for its aft wall formed by 2 glass sheets with water cascading between them.
So arranged, the swimming pool leaves ample room for large sunpads and lounging, transforming this portion of the Main Deck into an extension of the actual beach area to which is connected by a flight of stairs. The Upper Deck can be considered a proper owner’s deck with lounge and living areas astern and the master suite forward.
Equipped also with touch-&-go landing, the yacht ensures direct access to the owner’s quarters for maximum privacy.
The interiors will be designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture and will include 7 cabins accommodating up to 12 passengers assisted by 19 crew members housed in 10 cabins.
The yacht has two MTU 16V4000M63L engines reaching a 17-knot maximum speed and a 12-knot cruising speed with a range of 6200 nautical miles.
